Job summary

Patriot LLC is seeking an accomplished Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administrator to manage and optimize a critical RHEL environment for our federal client. The role covers installation, configuration, patching, and ongoing administration to ensure security, uptime, and performance.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of Linux/RHEL experience, is able to work onsite in Maryland and participate in a rotating on-call schedule, and can implement automated tasks via Ansible, Bash, and Python to improve

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Linux/RHEL administrator or similar.
• Must reside within commuting distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.
• Contract role requiring 24x7x365 uptime with recall and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize RHEL-based server infrastructure (RHEL 7.x/8.x/9.x).
• Perform daily system administration tasks (users, permissions, FS, networking).
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot system performance for reliability and efficiency.
