Job summary

Zebra Technologies Corporation in Holtsville, NY is seeking a Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer to take concepts to production for RFID and related products. You will lead the design and testing of digital and analog control systems using embedded microprocessors and DSP/ARM hardware.

Key skills include high‑speed interface design (RS232, USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet), PCB schematic capture, and hands‑on use of test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in embedded system design and hardware development.
• DSP/ARM based hardware development, integration and testing.
• Digital and analog system design with strong hardware knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
• May interact with users to define system requirements and modifications
• Analyze designs to designate necessary equipment to collect data
• Evaluate and synthesize experimental tests and results
• Read and design plans to build electrical systems on a variety of products and machinery
• Focus on manipulation and usage of electricity within an engineered process
• Exercises judgement in selecting methods and techniques for solutions
