Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. seeks a Senior RF Test Engineer in Austin, TX to design and implement RF test plans for satellite and aerospace systems.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create reusable test architectures and automate testing using scripting, while maintaining lab equipment and reporting results to stakeholders. The role requires deep RF expertise, hands-on testing with VSA/VNA gear, and strong communication skills in a startup environment focused on cutting-edge space

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years with BS or 4 years with MS in RF test design/analysis.
• High proficiency with RF measurements (Linearity, NSD, EVM).
• Test architecture design and development including scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Proficiency with statistics and metrology as related to RF test design.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and implement RF test plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with design/test teams to map requirements to reusable test architectures.
• Log and present results to stakeholders and guide equipment purchases.
• Help manage lab and equipment and participate in proposal writing.
