Job summary

Kratos Defense in Colorado Springs is seeking a Hardware Test and Automation Engineer to own the full test lifecycle for our 5G NTN UE solutions, from strategy through execution and long-term maintenance.

The role requires 7+ years in test engineering, a BS in a related field, and strong experience with RF test equipment. You will automate test sequences, develop test plans, and document results to support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Test Engineering experience.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Ability to interpret and breakdown hardware specifications into a test plan.
• Familiarity with automation of Keysight and/or Rhode & Schwarz RF test equipment.
• Proficiency with SCPI command sets and Python 3 for test automation, scripting and equipment control.
• Strong hands-on experience with RF test equipment and lab instrumentation.
• Ability to architect test setups and automate test sequences to characterize RF hardware performance.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including test plans and reports.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware, software, systems, and program teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the full test lifecycle for our custom 5G NTN UE solutions, from strategy to execution and maintenance.
• Develop and implement test plans and procedures for RF hardware.
• Automate test sequences and equipment control to improve efficiency.
• Document results, issues, and provide clear reports to cross-functional teams.
