Job summary

Downtown Boulder Partnership is seeking a Senior RF System Test Engineer to join our team in Tysons Corner, VA. You will design, integrate, and test prototype wireless systems for commercial and defense applications, lead lab and field experiments, and oversee lab operations.

Candidates should have 3+ years in RF test engineering, strong knowledge of RF components, MATLAB, test equipment, and the ability to travel for field testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience as a Senior RF Test Engineer or equivalent in RF communications or radar tech.
• Strong understanding of RF components and RF terms; ability to meet design requirements.
• Software experience related to computer controlled test equipment.
• Data analysis and plotting using MATLAB; QA of large data sets.
• Experience with radio comm equipment, especially digital tech.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team; strong troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel for field testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, organize, and lead experiments across laboratory, outdoor, and field environments with test plans and results.
• Build and assemble hardware into prototypes, select components, solder, and assemble enclosures.
• Manage laboratory operations: space coordination, maintenance, and policies.
