Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL seeks a Lead RF Systems Engineer to drive systems engineering efforts for RF transceiver architectures across UHF–Ka bands. Salary ranges from $104,650 to $189,175 per year. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with substantial experience in RF systems is needed, along with lab testing and modeling expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master's with 6+ years.
• Thorough understanding of RF transceiver system architecture and cascade analysis.
• Design experience across UHF to Ka frequency bands.
• Experience with software development, integration, requirements development and verification; modeling/simulation is a plus.
• Background in materials, production, and configuration management.
• Open Air Range integration experience preferred.
• Hands-on lab testing with spectrum/network analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Solid antenna theory knowledge including beam patterns.
• U.S. citizen with at least a secret clearance; eligible for TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems requirements evaluation, studies, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, interface definition, technical management, system integration, testing, and quality assurance.
• Foster development of innovative approaches, solutions, and architectural designs.
• Engage regularly with customers through in-process reviews, site visits, and demonstrations.
