Job summary

Distributed Spectrum Inc. is seeking a technically rigorous RF Systems Engineer to own RF design from concept through testing.

You will lead EMI/EMC mitigation and RF hardening, design RF systems under real-world constraints, and coordinate with ML, hardware, and mission teams to align architecture with operational needs. The role requires hands-on lab experience with RF testing, strong communication, and a BS or higher in EE or Physics.

Qualifications

• Experience owning technical projects end-to-end.
• Experience with RF simulation tools HFSS, CST, MATLAB, GNU Radio.
• Hands-on experience with electronics laboratory test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, oscilloscopes).
• Experience designing and assembling RF signal chains for lab testing (filters, mixers, splitters, couplers, amplifiers).
• Familiarity with software-defined radio platforms and real-world RF hardware applications.
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or Physics or similar.

Responsibilities

• Drive RF system performance end-to-end across prototype platforms from concept through testing and iteration.
• Lead EMI/EMC mitigation and RF hardening strategies for robust field operation.
• Design and optimize RF systems under real-world constraints, including hardware limits and interference.
• Design and execute experiments to characterize performance and validate models.
• Collaborate across Machine Learning, hardware, and mission teams to align design with operational needs.
