Job summary

CACI International seeks a Senior PCB Drafter for RF and Power boards in Sterling, VA. You will translate engineering designs into manufacturable board layouts, manage libraries, and produce complete design packages.

The role emphasizes hands-on drafting for RF/power ICs, multi-layer boards, and adherence to design rules. Requires 7+ years’ experience, strong EDA skills, and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of PCB drafting/layout experience on RF/power IC boards.
• Proficiency with EDA tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium, PADS, OrCAD or equivalent).
• Experience creating/maintaining libraries and footprints for ICs.
• Familiarity with multi-layer boards, RF isolation, shielding, impedance, and power distribution layouts.
• Hands-on prototyping support, attention to detail, and clear communication.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform schematic capture and detailed multi-layer PCB layout for RF/power boards.
• Create and manage libraries/footprints for RF/power ICs.
• Place routes with RF isolation, shielding, impedance control, and power distribution as directed.
• Generate Gerbers, BOMs, assembly drawings, and fabrication docs.
• Collaborate with RF/electrical engineers to implement design changes.
• Support prototype fabrication, assembly reviews, and board bring-up.
• Review junior drafters’ work for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Maintain drawing packages under configuration control.
