Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace-EDS seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to guide RF/high-speed PCB layout and electronic packaging. You will oversee design processes, ensuring quality and reliability while complying with industry standards.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Design Engineering, you will operate from the San Diego location and lead cross-functional design reviews. The role requires extensive ECAD proficiency (Xpedition, Altium, PADS), strong GD&T expertise, and a deep understanding of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years designing high-frequency products using multilayer SMT and MIC approaches.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong electronics packaging knowledge including MIC design and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Generate circuit layouts from schematics and diagrams.
• Apply ECAD changes using Xpedition, Altium or PADS; 2D layouts with AutoCAD.
• Prepare parts lists; enter data into PLM (Agile, Teamcenter).
• Collaborate with mechanical to define assembly approaches for manufacturing.
• Ensure RF/DC circuit impedance, temperature rise and voltage drop calculations.
