Job summary

DoorDash Labs in San Francisco seeks a Senior RF Engineer to design, validate, and optimize RF/electrical systems for unmanned platforms. You will lead cross‑domain development, perform EMI mitigation, and validate wireless performance across LTE/5G, Wi‑Fi, GPS, and UWB, contributing through the full product lifecycle.

The role requires deep expertise in electromagnetic theory, RF testbeds, and hands‑on lab work, with in‑person collaboration in a senior, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with RF specialization.
• 6+ years of hands-on RF hardware design/testing experience.
• Strong RF front-end and system-level optimization skills.
• Experience with high-speed digital interfaces (MIPI CSI/DSI, PCIe, DDR, SDIO/eMMC).

Responsibilities

• Lead RF, mixed-signal and mechanical domain solutions.
• Design RF hardware and wireless testbeds for system validation.
• Provide EMI mitigation guidance and cross-functional debug processes.
• Characterize EMI from internal/external sources with EMC tests.
• Conduct lab and OTA testing across LTE, 5G NR, Wi-Fi, GPS, and UWB.
• Perform EM simulations with CST/HFSS/ADS to guide design decisions.
• Communicate challenges and trade-offs to engineers and executives.
