Job summary

BearCom is hiring in Nashville for a position focusing on high-level programming codeplugs and installation of complex wireless systems. You will design and service UHF/VHF, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, and related equipment to meet customer requirements.

The role requires hands-on RF knowledge, troubleshooting, and the ability to travel regionally with potential on-call hours. A strong electronics background and relevant certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment.
• Strong understanding of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of battery backup, base stations, repeaters, duplexers, and TCP/IP basics.
• Proficiency with MS Office Word/Excel; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Create High-Level Programming Codeplugs (e.g., P25, CAP MAX).
• Install and service complex wireless systems (UHF/VHF, dispatch consoles, DAS, microwave).
• Provide system recommendations and designs meeting customer needs.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight; participate in on-call hours.
