Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking a Senior RF Engineering Technician VI to support hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, repair, and integration of RF/EW systems at Crane, Indiana. In this role you will diagnose hardware issues, configure test equipment, and support lab and field test events, with potential travel up to 50% and in‑person requirements.

You will work with engineers and test teams to read schematics, design test setups, perform board‑level repairs and rework, and provide SME guidance on test

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in electronics technology, test & measurement, RF systems or Electronic Countermeasure systems.
• At least 5 years as an engineering technician with electrical design support and board-level troubleshooting.
• Hands-on RF test equipment experience (signal sources, O-scope, spectrum analyzers, VNAs).
• Troubleshooting hardware from system to component levels (analog, digital, RF, power).
• Ability to read schematics, layouts, and test requirements; soldering and rework experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of RF/microwave and Electronic Warfare systems.
• Use RF test gear to diagnose, configure, and validate hardware.
• Read schematics and layouts to guide test setups and data collection.
• Support design, integration, test, and failure-analysis activities with engineers.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests; lift up to 20 pounds; UAV pilot or vehicle operations possible.
