This role offers a salary range of $130,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience. The preferred location is Frederick, MD, but O'Fallon, MO is also an option.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of advanced RF systems, primarily for aerospace and defense applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RF circuit design, system integration, troubleshooting, and a deep understanding of wireless communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize RF and microwave circuits, including filters, amplifiers, and transceivers.
  • Perform RF system simulations, prototyping, and validation using industry-standard tools and lab equipment.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams for seamless RF component integration.
  • Identify and resolve RF performance issues related to interference, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and teams.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry regulations and optimize for performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in RF system design, preferably in telecommunications, aerospace, defense, or consumer electronics.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Security clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, simulation tools (e.g., ADS, CST, HFSS, MATLAB, Ansys), and RF measurement equipment.
  • Experience with PCB layout and high-frequency signal routing.
  • Understanding of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Preferred but not required: experience with SDR, satellite communications, radar systems, and defense industry.

This position is subject to background checks and requires a DoD Security clearance.
