Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to design, develop, and validate RF hardware enabling high-bandwidth communication across spacecraft.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing RF circuitry for high-speed links.
• Experience with free-space optical communication systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design RF driver and receiver circuitry for optical communication links up to 50 Gbps.
• Develop end-to-end RF signal chain architecture for laser drivers and TIAs.
• Lay out high-speed RF/analog PCBs with impedance-controlled stack-ups.
• Perform impedance matching, crosstalk mitigation, and eye-diagram optimization.
• Collaborate with optics and photonics to co-design interfaces.
• Test and validate RF/optical subsystems in lab and field environments.
• Document design decisions and participate in design reviews.
• Stay current with advances in RF/optical comms technology.
