Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Cypress, CA, seeks an Aerospace EMP (ASEMP) Engineer to support EMP hardening and assessment activities on aircraft and ground facilities, and to transition new technologies to DoD and DoE customers.

The role offers a multidisciplinary environment with opportunities to grow alongside engineers, physicists and technicians from concept to operation, and to collaborate with program managers on challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Physics, Electrical or Aerospace engineering and EM related areas.
• Ability to communicate clearly and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Support EMP assessments for aircraft and ground facilities and travel as needed.
• Perform design, development, fabrication, testing and documentation of multidisciplinary tasks.
• Write detailed technical reports and maintain project documentation.
• Hands‑on testing and troubleshooting with standard lab equipment.
• Coordinate with customers, program managers and engineers.
