Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, is seeking an RF systems engineer to advance our integrated wireless platform. You will collaborate with EE, RF, Antenna design and PD teams to maximize system performance and define robust requirements across multiple frequency bands.

You will perform circuit-level analysis to debug desense issues, identify noise sources, and support end-to-end design from conception through qualification and production testing.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in wireless design and desense evaluation of consumer grade products.
• Knowledgeable in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design and analysis.
• Excellent technical understanding of WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth and GPS.
• Good understanding of radiated noise coupling mechanisms.
• Experience with PCB layout design and schematic.
• Experience in debugging and optimizing wireless products.
• Experience using simulation tools such as Ansys and Keysight ADS.
• Experience with lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, near field probes).
• Experience with EMI/EMC, ESD and RF signal routing; TRP/TIS measurements preferred.
• Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within 60 days is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EE, RF, Antenna design and PD teams to maximize system performance.
• Define system level requirements and specifications.
• Design and implement wireless solutions across multiple frequency bands.
• Perform circuit level analyses to debug desense and characterize aggressor/victim.
• Identify noise sources and support system level integration.
• Support end-to-end design from conception through qualification, certification and production testing.
