Job summary

Blue-Signal-Search is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer for Aerospace Systems, onsite in the Greater Phoenix area. The role blends hands-on design, validation, and cross‑functional collaboration across development stages to deliver practical RF hardware for aerospace programs.

You will work with design, validation, manufacturing, and customers, employing ADS, AWR, HFSS, and MATLAB to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience designing reliable RF hardware in aerospace/defense contexts.
Board-level RF hardware or subsystem development experience beyond telecom/antenna work.
Knowledge of receivers, transmitters, LOs, synthesizers, mixers, filters, amplifiers, PLLs.
Ability to work autonomously, build relationships with stakeholders, and drive development to completion.
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance; existing clearance beneficial.

Responsibilities

Own RF and mixed signal design for high reliability aerospace systems, from architecture to production.
Design and refine board-level RF assemblies with signal conversion, synthesis, filtering, amplification.
Use industry tools such as ADS, AWR Microwave Office, HFSS, MATLAB to evaluate performance and tradeoffs.
Collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders to ensure practical, effective solutions meeting project requirements.
Support prototype bring up, verification, and design improvements as programs mature toward release.
Contribute to design reviews, technical documentation, proposal support, and customer discussions.
Provide guidance to less experienced engineers to elevate RF hardware design capabilities.
