Job summary

Zipline seeks a Senior RF Desense Engineer to own the RF desense architecture and shielding across our autonomous platforms. You will collaborate with RF, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure robust performance under multi-radio operation and harsh environments.

The role requires 7+ years in RF hardware, strong shielding expertise from ICs to enclosures, and hands-on testing with VNA, EMI receivers, and OTA chambers. Join us to advance high‑reliability aviation communications.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering required; 7+ years RF hardware experience in production systems.
Demonstrated shielding architecture experience from PCB to product level.
Strong understanding of RF receiver architecture, interoperability of multi-radio platforms.
Experience with EMI/EMC testing and regulatory certifications.
Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams through concept to production.

Responsibilities

Own RF desense architecture, analysis, mitigation, validation, and production support across Zipline platforms.
Develop receiver desense budgets and performance requirements for next-generation wireless systems.
Identify and mitigate receiver sensitivity degradation from onboard transmitters and power electronics.
Plan and execute RF desense characterization, testing, and flight validation.
Mentor engineers and establish RF desense methodologies and shielding standards.
