Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, is seeking a Senior Communications Engineer in Patuxent River, MD to support development, integration, testing, and fielding of advanced RF communications and datalink systems across Naval Aviation platforms.

The role emphasizes DoD programs, ARC-210, CDL, MIDS-JTRS, and secure voice communications, with on-site requirements. Ten-plus years in communications/RF, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and an active security clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in communications or RF engineering.
• Experience with DoD/Naval Aviation programs required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis, integration, test, and design of naval aviation communications systems.
• Contribute to development and fielding of survival radios, beacons, and secure comms.
• Perform radio system integration and sustainment for ARC-210 and E-6B platforms.
• Execute RF system configuration, testing, and evaluation including waveform performance.
• Support datalink integration for secure voice and tactical comms.
• Coordinate lifecycle activities: design, acquisition, installation, test, evaluation, modernization.
• Perform co-site analysis, link budgeting, and spectrum analysis.
• Support LOS and BLOS communications systems.
• Collaborate with PMA programs across development to fielding.
