Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington seeks an experienced RF engineer to lead end-to-end RF and optical communication systems for spacecraft, from concept through testing and on-orbit operations. You’ll own system architecture, link budgets, and verification across the subsystem lifecycle.

This role requires 8+ years in avionics and communications, strong EM simulation skills, and proven leadership in fast-paced programs. Relocation provided; travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in avionics and communication systems development and verification.
• Strong knowledge of RF systems, antennas, waveforms, and link budgets.
• Experience with EM simulations to optimize antenna performance and coverage.

This isn't a narrow role — your fingerprints will be on the full subsystem lifecycle, including specifications, procurement, AI&T execution, and mission support.
