Job summary

Emerson in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Principal Analog Hardware Engineer to lead the RF R&D team's development of high-performance analog and mixed-signal hardware for next-generation test and measurement products.

You will own architecture, guide design across board-level circuits, power, timing, and calibration, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in analog or mixed-signal hardware design, or 5+ years with advanced degree.
• Experience leading analog/mixed-signal architectures and block-level to system-level design.
• Proficiency with lab equipment and RF instrumentation.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead cross-functional workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as analog technical leader within RF organization; shape direction and mentoring.
• Define analog architectures for next-generation platforms; influence system decisions.
• Design, simulate, validate board-level circuits including power and timing.
• Own designs from concept to production release with validation and compliance.
• Develop validation strategies and characterize circuitry with lab equipment.
• Collaborate across Mechanical, RF, Digital, EMC, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
