Job summary

BakerHicks is seeking a Senior Revit Technician to join its High Voltage CAD team. You will develop and coordinate 3D Revit models and 2D drawings for major energy infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery in line with BIM standards and client requirements.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers and project managers across disciplines, drive BIM process improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of Revit capability within the team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit in an engineering environment.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings and coordinated BIM models.
• Knowledge of BIM processes, standards and best practices.
• Experience within High Voltage, Transmission & Distribution or related sectors would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain coordinated 3D Revit models for High Voltage engineering projects.
• Produce high-quality 2D drawings and documentation derived from Revit models.
• Support engineers and designers in developing engineering layouts and design information.
• Coordinate Revit models and design information across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Identify and assist in resolving model and drawing coordination issues.
• Produce and maintain drawings using AutoCAD where required.
• Work in accordance with BakerHicks CAD, BIM and document control standards.
• Follow project-specific CAD/BIM standards and client requirements.
• Support the implementation of BIM and digital delivery processes within the High Voltage team.
• Maintain accurate model and drawing information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in model reviews, design coordination meetings and project reviews where required.
• Work collaboratively with CAD Technicians, Engineers, Designers and Project Managers across multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to the continued development of Revit capability, standards and best practice within the High Voltage CAD team.
