Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition to join the Austin, TX team and own the operational core of our revenue close—from period open to final posting in Zuora Revenue (RevPro). This hands-on leader brings deep technical accounting roots to run a clean, repeatable monthly close.

In this role, you will drive end-to-end revenue close, oversee journal entries to the GL, and guide ASC 606 analyses while mentoring the team to ensure audit-readiness and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in revenue recognition or technical accounting.
• CPA certification required.
• Hands-on experience with Zuora Revenue (RevPro) close.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end monthly open and close in Zuora Revenue (RevPro).
• Oversee revenue-related journal entries into the GL with correct classification.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations: deferred revenue, contract assets, unbilled AR.
• Provide ASC 606 guidance on complex transactions and modifications.
• Mentor revenue accounting team and improve close procedures.
