Job summary

City of Bellevue is seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst in the Finance and Asset Management Department. This role focuses on monitoring revenue streams, forecasting, and ensuring proper allocation of funds, with reporting to the City Controller.

The position requires strong revenue modeling, grant and tax revenue oversight, and cross-department collaboration. A hybrid work schedule is available, with residency in Washington state and commuting distance to Bellevue City Hall.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required in Finance/Accounting/Business/Public Administration.
• Five years of professional experience in accounting, budgeting, finance, or policy analysis, preferably in the public sector.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue modeling, trending, analysis, and reporting to support budget, forecasting, fiscal, and tax teams.
• Monitor grant processes from request to funding and coordinate with budget, accounting, and treasury groups.
• Track tax audit revenues and coordinate with the audit team to ensure proper receipts and month-end reconciliations.
• Research legislative issues and recommend positions to department management.
• Monitor county and state revenue initiatives to ensure all revenues are received.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations for tax revenue streams (property, sales, hotel/motel, etc.).
• Support budgeting processes and data needs related to revenue streams.
• Identify priorities and drive annual work plan initiatives related to revenue streams.
