Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to own end-to-end accuracy for the SAP RAR system. You will perform and review reconciliations between SAP and RAR and other source systems, validate enterprise agreements, and ensure accurate revenue recognition in BI reporting.

You will investigate variances, conduct root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes with IT. The role also involves leading UAT, supporting SOX 404 controls, and mentoring a global team, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience in technology.
• Advanced Excel and data handling skills.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition for software/SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accuracy for SAP RAR system and reconciliations (SAP ↔ RAR ↔ other sources).
• Lead review of Enterprise Agreements, validating fulfillment and revenue using BI reporting.
• Investigate and resolve variances, perform RCA, drive long-term fixes with IT.
• Drive large-scale transformation projects and act as a SME on revenue processes.
• Lead UAT for system enhancements and bug fixes.
• Identify automation opportunities; leverage Tableau for real-time reporting.
• Coach and mentor global team, including offshore BLR close team.
• Ensure compliance with SOX 404 controls and audit-ready documentation.
