Ideal candidates have a CPA or equivalent, 4+ years of accounting, and strong ASC 606 expertise, particularly with complex SaaS or subscription-based arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years progressive accounting experience, incl. at least 3 years in revenue accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and applying revenue guidance to complex customer arrangements.
• Experience with contract reviews, billing, revenue reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, revenue management platforms, and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing processes, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and revenue reporting.

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $95,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage revenue accounting activities and ensure revenue is recognized accurately in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Review customer agreements and transaction terms to determine appropriate accounting treatment and identify potential reporting impacts.
• Oversee billing processes, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and related revenue reporting activities.
• Support month end, quarter end, and year end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries and account analyses.
• Partner with sales, legal, finance, and other business teams to improve processes, maintain controls, and support reporting requirements.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three years focused on revenue accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and experience applying revenue recognition guidance to complex customer arrangements.
• Previous experience with contract reviews, billing processes, revenue reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, revenue management platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.

Qualifications

• CPA credential is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience within SaaS, software, technology, healthcare technology, or subscription based business environments.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical accounting matters to both finance and non finance stakeholders.
• Previous experience supporting audits, internal controls, process automation initiatives, and team mentoring.
