Job summary

Avathon, Inc. in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to lead revenue recognition, contract accounting, and reporting across the US parent and India subsidiary.

You will partner with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to ensure compliant revenue treatment under ASC 606 and Ind AS 115 while supporting month-end close and audits. The role emphasizes process improvement, policy development, and cross‑functional collaboration for a fast‑growing global AI autonomy platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; professional qualification preferred.
• 5–10 years of revenue accounting, financial reporting or general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and Ind AS 115; exposure to SaaS contracts is a plus.
• Experience with month-end close, schedules, reconciliations, and intercompany activity.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, SOWs, and amendments to determine revenue recognition under ASC 606/Ind AS 115.
• Analyse SaaS, services, and other revenue streams; identify obligations and prices.
• Prepare revenue schedules, deferred revenue, unbilled and contract assets/liabilities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Legal, CS, Delivery and FP&A; ensure accurate revenue accounting.
• Support month-end close, financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and audits.
