Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience focused on revenue recognition.
  • Strong proficiency in GAAP and ASC 606 for SaaS or service contracts.
  • CPA license strongly preferred.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex revenue accounting operations and help shape scalable processes that support a growing SaaS business. You’ll analyze customer contracts, lead month-end activities, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with ASC 606. With a focus on precision and impact, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to financial transparency and business decision-making.

Accountabilities:

  • Execute month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Review customer contracts and ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Maintain and analyze detailed revenue schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations and other departments to align subscription management and accounting practices.
  • Identify and lead process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards to maintain compliance and best practices.
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on revenue recognition.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and deep understanding of ASC 606 for SaaS or service contracts.
  • Experience with ERP and billing systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, Salesforce CPQ, or Stripe.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with precision.
  • Strong analytical mindset and advanced Excel skills for data management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Experience in private equity-backed companies or public accounting.
  • Background in subscription-based or software businesses.
  • Exposure to implementing accounting or revenue systems.
  • Competitive salary range: $90,000–$110,000 per year
