Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to ensure US GAAP revenue recognition complies with company policies while infusing AI-driven automation for scalable, accurate processes. The role blends advisory and operational duties, handling token-based usage and evolving AI revenue streams with automated tools.

You will partner with legal, sales, and finance teams to review contracts, prepare journal entries, and advance revenue analytics; mentoring junior staff and reporting KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or advanced experience).
• Active CPA mandatory.
• Accounting/Audit firm experience preferred.
• 4+ years in accounting roles.
• Proven ability to leverage AI and automation tools for efficiency and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue accounting.
• Experience with revenue systems (billing ERP/subledger).
• Revenue recognition for SaaS and multi-element arrangements.
• Ability to collaborate with Sales and other departments.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participates in accounting close activities; uses AI/automation to streamline processes.
• Collaborates with legal, sales, and other teams on deal reviews and contract accounting.
• Prepares/reviews journal entries and reconciliations; conducts financial analysis for management/auditors.
• Supports AI-driven initiatives to enhance revenue analytics and automation.
• Maintains awareness of US GAAP updates and guidance; mentors junior staff.
• Communicates issues to management; presents findings and solutions to leadership.
• Establishes and tracks KPI’s; supports external audit preparations with AI-enabled workbooks.
• Coordinates with auditors on accounting issues and queries; ensures controls adapt to changes.
