Job summary

Armanino Advisory LLC seeks a seasoned Revenue Accountant to lead ASC 606 revenue recognition, GAAP close, and revenue analysis across entities. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and partner with FP&A on variances and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 4+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills. CPA preferred; Workday experience is a plus. This is a full-time on-site role in Idaho.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and related compliance.
• Experience with general ledger, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's subject matter expert on revenue accounting, ensuring revenue is accurately and completely recorded in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and support the month-end close process.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Partner with FP&A to analyze and reconcile revenue variances against budget and prior year results.
• Partner with the Technical Accounting team to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements, including: Evaluating new business ventures and transactions for appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
• Supporting the implementation and execution of revenue-cycle controls and processes.
• Identifying and driving process improvement opportunities related to revenue accounting.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, including the A/R reserve, work-in-progress, and deferred revenue subledgers; investigate, document, and communicate variances.
• Analyze and interpret revenue-related data across business units, cost centers, and acquisitions to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Respond to requests from FP&A and business leaders and support external audit activities.
• Prepare and deliver financial analyses, reporting, and insights for key stakeholders.
• Develop and facilitate training for firm leaders on revenue recognition, reserve methodologies, and related accounting processes.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and related compliance requirements.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue analysis and reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, including A/R reserves, WIP, and deferred revenue.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, analytical thinking, ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner internally and externally.

For Colorado, Washington, Illinois, New York, and California residents, the compensation range for this position: $85,000-$100,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
