Job summary

Arhaus is seeking a Senior Photo Retoucher to lead image manipulation and color correction for ecommerce and marketing assets. The role emphasizes non-destructive retouching, color management, and collaboration with the Post-Production team and Art Directors.

The successful candidate will align workflows with existing systems and drive quality across Web and Marketing imagery while staying current with brand standards. This is a fully on-site position at our HQ in Boston Heights, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in photography, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, or Graphic Arts.
• 3-5+ years of experience in photo and image production.
• Portfolio required demonstrating retouching proficiency.
• Deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and non-destructive manipulation.
• Knowledge of color profiles and file formats.

Responsibilities

• Retouch environment and silhouette photography for Arhaus.com and marketing projects.
• Color correction, clipping, compositing, masking and image alterations with non-destructive methods.
• Collaborate with Post-Production Manager, fellow Retouchers, and Art Directors.
• Ensure imagery aligns with brand standards and provides color-accurate product images.
• Lead workflow improvements and provide subject-matter expertise.

We are seeking a Senior Photo Retoucher who is a highly trained individual that specializes in image manipulation and color correction within the creative industry. This role will work on the retouching and color management of images that will appear in a range of marketing materials, with a primary focus on ecommerce photography. This elevated position will also support some leadership responsibilities, aligning new and old processes and providing subject expertise to help improve existing systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with Internal and External teams to produce guidance documentation, aligning new workflow development to integrate with existing systems.
• Provide subject matter expertise in decision making for planning and process refinement.
• Retouch environment and silhouette photography for Arhaus.com or other Marketing projects as needed, including, but not limited to, compositing, clipping, color correcting, object removal and alteration all while using non-destructive photo manipulation and retouching techniques.
• Collaborate with Post-Production Manager, fellow Retouchers, and Art Directors to create high-quality retouched imagery for Web & Marketing use.
• Work with Marketing teams to provide efficient, high-quality visual solutions.
• Stay up to date on brand standards via Web & Marketing style guides and ensure all imagery adheres to those standards.
• Deliver consistent, color accurate product images.
• Prioritize and execute responsibilities efficiently.
• Efficiently handle multiple projects at once.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in photography, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, or Graphic Arts AND 3-5+ years of experience in photo and image production.
• Product & Editorial Color Correction/Retouching Test Required.
• Deep understanding and experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (for example, Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Acrobat Pro), including experience with non-destructive photo manipulation and retouching.
• Excellent photo-retouching skills necessary. Retouching skills include but are not limited to, outlines, shadows, clipping, masking, color correcting, adjustment layers, liquefying, compositing, using history states, creating, and using actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
• Understanding of color profiles and file formats.
• Must be able to take direction and work within cross functional teams.
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• A portfolio or website that demonstrates a proficient knowledge and understanding of photography and retouching required.
• This role is based fully on-site out of our HQ in Boston Heights, OH.
