CPS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Defined Contribution Consultant to lead complex engagements related to defined contribution and nonqualified retirement plans.

This role requires deep technical expertise, client advisory skills, and the ability to solve plan and operational challenges. The successful candidate will lead client projects, advise sponsors on administration and strategy, oversee plan design and vendor management, and mentor junior staff while maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in defined contribution and/or nonqualified retirement plan consulting.
• Strong working knowledge of 401(k), nonqualified, and deferred compensation plans.
• Knowledge of 403(b), 457(b), and pension plans is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the lead consultant for teams block of clients.
• Advise plan sponsors on retirement plan administration, compliance, operational strategy, and third-party vendor management.
• Lead consulting projects involving: Plan design, Recordkeeper and vendor management, Vendor searches and RFPs, Fee benchmarking, Plan transitions, Compliance reviews, Administrative improvements.
• Prepare and present clear recommendations, analysis, and project updates to plan sponsors, executive teams, committees, and other client stakeholders.
• Guide clients through plan audits, compliance issues, operational questions, corrective-action planning, and changing regulatory or legislative requirements.
• Manage retirement plan transitions related to corporate acquisitions and divestitures.
• Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and communication schedules while ensuring work is accurate, timely, and aligned with client expectations.
• Coordinate internal resources and team members to successfully move client projects forward.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while providing a high level of service and support.
• Establish effective communication and meeting cadences to ensure clients remain informed throughout projects and engagements.
• Mentor and share technical expertise with developing team members.
• Identify and thoughtfully implement AI-enabled process improvements when they provide meaningful value and align with client needs and privacy requirements.
