Job summary

Transamerica Corporation is seeking a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant to retain assets and ensure client satisfaction for 401(k), DB or MEP plans. You will lead annual plan reviews, provide consultative guidance, and present to brokers to maintain and grow retirement program assets.

The role requires extensive travel (>50%), remote field work, and collaboration with clients, advisors and TPAs to optimize plan design and participant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Five years of retirement industry or similar experience.
• Mandatory FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, and Life insurance licenses, or obtain within six months.
• Thorough understanding of ERISA and retirement industry trends.
• Advanced knowledge of retirement programs and plan management.
• Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual plan reviews and service meetings with clients and brokers.
• Bring consultative elements to relationships to enhance loyalty.
• Serve as escalation point for resolution of non-routine service issues.
• Consult with clients and brokers on qualified plan design issues.
• Explain plan provisions to accomplish client goals.
• Advise on plan amendments and terminations per process.
• Interpret discrimination testing rules and propose solutions.
• Drive cross-sell opportunities to enhance profitability.
• Train clients on processes, systems and resources for participants and sponsors.
• Assist Sales with final presentations as subject-matter expert.
