Job summary

LPL Financial in Tempe, AZ seeks a Cash Management Retirement Senior Operations Specialist to handle complex escalations in retirement move money processes, ensure IRS rules compliance, and train new associates.

You will analyze processing queues, balance risk, and contribute to process improvements while collaborating across teams; a background in financial services and customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of financial services experience.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Handles high level/complex escalations by understanding the request, taking appropriate action and providing rationale to resolve while keeping management informed.
• Provide trend analysis on processing queues and escalate as appropriate.
• Ability to make decisions while weighing risk tolerance.
• Facilitate the training of new team members using multiple methods to include updated training guides, shadowing and ongoing processing support.
• Identify opportunities for training gaps within the team to work towards a solution and resolve.
• Understanding of IRS rules and regulations related to contributions and distributions in Retirement Accounts.
• Problem solve and conduct research on advisor related questions and escalations using a variety of tools.
• Consistently research, review and update department procedures to ensure they are aligned with IRS regulations.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews.
• Review, prepare and process complex retirement move money requests including RMD, Removal of Excess, Recharacterizations and Qualified Retirement Plan transactions.
• Actively participate in user acceptance testing for enhancements to current systems/processes.
• Proactively educate internal business partners and advisors on products and processes including necessary updates to intranet and advisor facing resources.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and take ownership of implementation.
• Work collaboratively and efficiently with others in a fast paced, evolving environment
