Job summary

CHS Inc. in South Dakota is seeking a Retail Sales Manager to lead the southern sales territory from the River Plains unit. You will direct sales and marketing across Agronomy, Grain, Animal Nutrition, and Energy products, guiding a geographically distributed team to deliver strong customer experiences.

The role focuses on achieving sales objectives through leadership, strategic planning, and effective use of technology, with preference for candidates based in Pierre, Fairfax, or Winner, SD.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Agronomy, Grain, Animal Nutrition, or Energy Sales.
• Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the retail sales team across all product lines (Agronomy, Energy, Animal Nutrition, Grain).
• Recruit, onboard, coach, mentor, train and manage immediate sales team members.
• Set sales goals aligned with the business strategy; monitor KPIs for growth and margins.
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners and stakeholders.
• Coordinate sales processes and service delivery to optimize returns and customer experience.
• Match capacity with forecast needs to ensure efficient supply chain.
