AutoZone is seeking a Category Manager to develop and implement buying, pricing and marketing strategies. You will manage vendor relationships and all category aspects for store placements and profitability from our Memphis area operations.

The role emphasizes market analysis, decision participation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive performance targets and supply chain solutions within AutoZone's growing product categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five to seven years experience, preferably in a retail operations environment.
• Prior experience in merchandising, purchasing and manufacturing a plus. Strong financial acumen and communication skills.
• Strong retail foundation, vendor management and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Participates in all team activities and decisions.
• Analyzes market research and to effectively put the right products in the right stores at the right prices.
• Uses information from sales, gross profit and various ad hoc reports to make sure their assigned categories meet established performance targets.
• Adds and deletes products in response to industry changes and customer demands.
• Tests new products and troubleshoots supply chain issues
