Veterans Health Administration seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (GS-11) at VA Maine Medical Center in Augusta, ME. Requires CoARC-accredited program completion, active RRT license, and 1 year of creditable GS-09 experience.

Responsibilities include collaboration with physicians, airway/ventilation management, and leading care initiatives. The role encompasses both inpatient and outpatient respiratory care, with opportunities to precept staff and contribute to policy development.

Formación

• U.S. citizenship required.
• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Education from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program.
• Full, current, unrestricted RRT license.
• One year of creditable experience at GS-09 level with active license and RRT credential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide respiratory care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Manage airway and ventilation using mechanical means.
• Develop care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Consult with physicians to ensure quality of patient care within area of specialty.
• Precept and mentor lower-graded staff; may lead projects or policy development.
