UI Health Care is seeking a full-time Sr. Respiratory Therapist. To be responsible for the delivery of respiratory care, including ventilation, medical gas therapy, medicated aerosol therapy, pulmonary hygiene, blood gas sampling and analysis, non-invasive oxygen and carbon dioxide monitoring, and to supervise the implementation of respiratory care in the patient care units. Provide critical care expertise, education, routine shift staffing and shift operations relief.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Institutes and provides mechanical ventilation; institutes & provides all forms of CPAP & BiPAP; delivers medical gas therapy; provides safe delivery of medicated aerosol & general therapies; provides pulmonary hygiene standards; performs blood gas sampling & analysis; provides non-invasive monitoring; participates in orientation/education activities; assist in the training of students; adheres to hospital epidemiological practices; maintains appearance, demeanor, and attendance; maintains licensure; performs senior therapist duties; participates in technical operations of department; performs other special projects & tasks as assigned.*Respiratory Therapists must be a graduate of a Commission of Accreditation Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved program.
Percent of Time: 90-100%. Please note that the salary listed is based on 100% time
