Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, Florida seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive care during the night shift. You will operate ventilation, perform assessments, and guide staff in respiratory therapies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years hospital experience as RRT is required.
• NBRC credential required for eligibility; ACLS/BLS/PALS often required; STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recommends changes in respiratory care plans based on medical necessity and protocols.
• Instructs and coaches patients before, during, and after treatment; manages side effects.
• Adjusts therapies per protocol using data like blood gases and vitals.
• Supervises student preceptorships and mentors staff.
• Operates and manages ventilator settings and modes, with reassessment every 4 hours.
