Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• RRT credential required; active Georgia license.
• Must hold current state license as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• AARC membership required; BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NPS/ACCS/CPFT/RPFT optional per area.

Responsibilities

• Completes and maintains all competencies; serves as a role model for peers.
• Assumes duties; mentors team; supports patient care discussions; functions as Preceptor in critical care areas.
• Participates in in-services; acts as a ventilator management resource; attends department meetings regularly.
• Supports professional activity: evaluates new equipment and attends relevant conferences; CEUs required annually.
