Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator to join the West Region marketing team. You will drive proposal development and produce persuasive materials, coordinating with project managers, technical staff, and pursuit teams.

The role emphasizes clear messaging, leadership of interview materials, and end-to-end marketing execution. You will develop client plans, conduct market research, and mentor teammates, in a collaborative, largely in-person environment across California sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.
  • Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, organization, and production of proposals and marketing materials, including layout utilizing existing templates and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with other marketing coordinators, project managers, technical staff, business development leads, and pursuit teams.
  • Evaluate technical and non-technical content; write non-technical text; and edit and proofread all marketing communications for clarity, messaging, and persuasiveness.
  • Lead the development of interview presentation materials and coach interview teams.
  • Lead capture planning, conduct market sector research and competitor analysis, develop winning strategies, and provide message development for pursuits, including graphic development.
  • Prepare, update, and organize data in company systems, including pursuit information, project profiles, resumes, references, photography, proposal documents, and other marketing files
  • Coordinate conference attendance and sponsorships.
  • Support business development leads, client managers, and teams in the development of marketing strategies, client development, and pursuit capture planning.
  • Train and mentor team members on business development and marketing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic marketer to join our West Region marketing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving proposal development to support our growth in Southern California focusing on our power, solid waste and organics, and industrial market sectors. You will develop persuasive proposal documents and interview materials, showcasing our engineering capabilities and experience with impactful messaging. You will also lead the development of client plans that drive market expansion and revenue growth.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services
  • At least 4 years of experience leading competitive A/E/C proposals
  • Ability and desire to engage with others in-person
