Job summary

RESPEC in Bozeman, Montana is seeking an experienced Senior Geochemist to lead mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry projects, mentor staff, and deliver technically rigorous solutions across North America.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply predictive geochemistry modeling, and manage client relationships while pursuing new opportunities. This role involves travel and office collaboration across multiple RESPEC locations.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in geochemistry, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Experience managing technical consulting projects.
• Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Client management and business development track record.
• PG/P.Geo registration or ability to obtain.
• Experience with predictive geochemical & hydrogeochemical modeling.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client relationships and business development skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting.
• Lead projects, mentor staff, and collaborate across offices.
• Oversee geochemical characterization, mine waste and water investigations.
• Coordinate lab and field testing programs and modeling.
• Prepare high-quality deliverables meeting RESPEC standards.
• Grow the mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry practice through client engagement.
• Represent RESPEC at industry events and in collaborations.
