Job description

Faraday Copper is a growth oriented Canadian junior mining company focused on responsibly advancing our flagship development stage project in Arizona, through our subsidiary company, Redhawk Copper. With a highly energetic and collaborative team, we are committed to building a modern mining operation grounded in operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and strong community partnerships.

Faraday recently announced it has entered a letter of intent to acquire BHP’s San Manuel property in Arizona, creating the potential for a multi-asset copper district in the USA. As we transition from exploration to project development, we are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Senior Mine Resource Geologist to build and lead resource geology in Arizona.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update 3D geological domain models and resource block models using Leapfrog Geo and geostatistical estimation platforms, ensuring models are current, auditable, and fit for feasibility‑level decision making. Direct the technical scope and review deliverables of independent Qualified Person consultants for mineral resource estimations prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 and, where applicable, SEC S-K 1300 reporting standards Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support resource classification and mine planning
  • Integrate geometallurgical domains into resource models to support process design, recovery forecasting, and mine planning for both sulfide flotation and leach amenable material.
  • Contribute resource model inputs to prefeasibility and feasibility study work, including resource classification confidence upgrades through targeted infill and condemnation drilling. Conduct data validation, direct QA/QC procedures, ensure database integrity, and perform timely model reconciliation
  • Collaborate with mine planning engineers to optimize mine designs and production schedules
  • Develop and implement resource reconciliation programs to track model performance against actual production and grade control data as the project advances toward operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mine geologists and technicians
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage resource classification methodology, including variogram modeling, estimation validation, and confidence category assignments consistent with NI 43-101 category definitions.
  • Develop resource models in support of corporate M&A work, due diligence studies, and other corporate business development efforts.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate work assignments, procedures, and safety requirements in English. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, and lift or carry up to 10 pounds.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field,
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mining geology, with a strong focus on resource estimation
  • Professional designation (e.g., P.Geo, SME-RM, CPG)) required or eligibility
  • Proficiency in Leapfrog Geo for 3D geological and resource modeling, combined with demonstrated competency in at least one geostatistical estimation platform for variography, estimation, and model validation. Strong understanding of geostatistics and estimation techniques
  • Direct experience in resource estimation on porphyry copper deposits, with demonstrated understanding of deposit‑scale geological controls, alteration zoning, and their influence on domain definition and grade continuity Experience with both open pit and underground mining techniques
  • Demonstrated experience designing, managing, and interpreting resource definition and infill drilling programs, including drill targeting, collar surveying, logging standards, and integration of results into updated resource models.
  • Proficiency in geological database management using acQuire or equivalent platform, including QAQC protocol design, data validation workflows, and compliance with corporate database standards. Experience contributing resource model inputs to PEA, PFS, or feasibility study technical reports at a development stage project.
