MVSB (Meredith Village Savings Bank) seeks an experienced Residential Underwriter, Level 3, in New Hampshire to review and underwrite residential mortgage loan applications, including complex files and government programs, ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines.

You will work within the Residential Lending team, providing timely decisions and collaborating with originators and processing to support customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of government loan programs and secondary-market guidelines.
• DE/SAR certifications required.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite residential mortgage loan requests within lending authority.
• Analyze loan files and flag risks or policy exceptions.
• Provide timely underwriting decisions to move files toward commitment.
• Apply bank, investor, secondary-market, and MI guidelines accurately.
• Collaborate with loan originators and processing to support customers.
• Serve as senior underwriting resource and mentor others.
• Maintain accurate loan data and complete compliance training.
