Job summary

GMH Construction, Inc. seeks a Lead Remodeler Carpenter to drive residential remodeling projects in Waukesha, WI. You’ll own full project delivery, coordinate crews and trades, and ensure craftsmanship meets high standards.

You must have 5+ years in rough and finish carpentry for residential remodels, read schematics, work with clients on-site, and maintain safety and codes. A valid driver's license and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on rough and finish carpentry in residential remodeling.
• Broad technical knowledge of residential trades including framing, drywall, painting, flooring, windows, doors, and siding.
• Working knowledge of basic residential HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read building plans, troubleshoot issues, and manage job sites independently.
• Strong communication skills and a professional client-facing approach.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and basic carpentry tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential remodeling projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Execute precise rough and finish carpentry across various residential sites.
• Coordinate daily job site operations, directing team members and trade contractors.
• Solve structural or layout challenges on site to maintain momentum.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with homeowners and address inquiries.
• Enforce quality control and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Keep work environments clean, organized, and safe for all team members.
