Job summary

Revive in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to shape how residential projects are designed, permitted, and delivered across California. You will work directly with our founders, Owner Representatives, engineers, and contractors to turn ideas into construction-ready projects.

You do not need a license. If you have years of experience producing residential construction documents and getting projects through California cities, we want to talk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of California residential design experience.
• Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit is a plus).
• Comfortable communicating with cities, consultants, and contractors.
• License welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction documents for remodels, additions, ADUs, and custom homes.
• Flag zoning issues, setback conflicts, and structural concerns during feasibility.
• Lead permit applications from submittal through approval, working directly with California planning and building departments.
• Resolve plan check corrections and keep projects moving.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors through preconstruction.
• Help build drawing standards and QA processes as the team grows.
