In the role of Resident Project Representative II, you'll count on you to:

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
• Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor's activities and work performed, including labor, equipment, and materials used
• Review construction materials for contract compliance
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings
• Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems
• Identify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists, and ensure corrections
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
• Assist with project audit/closeout
• Work under the general supervision of a Construction Project Manager
• Supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives, Construction Inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
• Ability to interpret construction schedules
• Ability to problem-solve and provide solutions to the engineer
• Experience with NYCDEP and/or NYSDOT

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or relevant experience
• At least 5 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
• Understanding of contracts, codes, and laws governing construction
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Teamwork skills
• Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related packages
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture
