Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Resident Engineer to join the team in our New York Field Office, overseeing transportation projects and managing field staff. You will lead a field inspection team, monitor budgets, review schedules, and ensure contract compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction management experience on infrastructure projects and NYCDDC exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 5 years of relevant Resident Engineering experience with infrastructure construction projects.
• NYCDDC experience a plus; NYPE license a plus; Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a field inspection team, ensuring project execution and budget monitoring.
• Review construction schedule, chair meetings, and work with contractors to ensure contract compliance.
• Provide recommendations to the Design Engineer on contractor requests and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, policies, procedures, and standards.
