Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation in Flagstaff is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to oversee two units, supervise staff, and ensure complex construction contracts meet design and safety standards. The SRE will provide engineering direction for administration of multiple, complex construction contracts and oversee staff and consultants.

The role requires PE eligibility, strong leadership, and coordination with federal, state, and local entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PE eligibility or licensed.
• Experience in managing engineering staff and highway construction.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations and project specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering direction for administration of complex construction contracts.
• Supervise unit staff and oversee consultants to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Coordinate with multiple agencies and manage resources and safety programs.
