Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers NOAO seeks a Resident Engineer to perform on-site administration of construction contracts under delegated authority. The role also serves as Assistant Area Engineer handling office policy, travel orders, and Floodfight coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Experience directing engineering/technical staff in QA and contract management.
• Knowledge of heavy civil projects, dredging, flood protection, or water resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering/technical team in quality assurance and contract administration.
• Review plans/specs for future contracts and oversee inspection activities.
• Assist in reviewing contractor proposals, cost estimates, changes, and modifications.
• Prepare progress reports to assess contract completion and compliance.
• Coordinate Floodfight sector and administrative responsibilities for NOAO.
